General Assemblies programme during the second week of COP21:

 

From December 7th to 11th, all of the General Assemblies will take place at the Climate

Action Area from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Nef of the CENQUATRE - Paris, 5 rue Curial,

75019 Paris.

Metro stations: Riquet (line 7), Stalingrade (lines 2, 5 and 7), Marx Dormoy (line 12).

 

They will all include a time for a conference-debate about specific themes and a time for the

General Assemblies.

 

Monday, December 7th:  Focus on the theme “Climate Justice, peace and militarism

5 p.m. - 6 p.m.: Conference-Debate “War, Peace, Militarization”

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: General Assembly agenda: Back on the negotiations progresses after the

past week, legal and political situation, upcoming initiatives.

 

Tuesday, December 8th: Focus on the theme “Alternatives and solutions (false and

true)

5 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Conference-debate “The Solutions (False and True)”

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: General Assembly agenda: Feedback on the state of negotiations after

the past week, legal and political situation, upcoming initiatives.

 

Wednesday, December 9th: Focus on the theme “Food sovereignty and peasant

struggles”

5 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Conference-debate “Food sovereignty and peasant agriculture” with spokers from the Via Campesina, World Forum of fisher peoples's, Grassroots global justice alliance, Climate Justice Alliance, World March of Women.

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: General Assembly agenda: Feedback on the state of negotiations after

the past week, legal and political situation upcoming initiatives.

 

Thursday, December 10th: Focus on the theme “Capitalism against Climate”

5:45 p.m. – 7 p.m.: General Assembly agenda: Feedback on the state of negotiations after

the past week, legal and political situation upcoming initiatives.

7 p.m. – 9 p.m.: Evening event organized by 350.org, AiTEC/IPAM and ATTAC France

“Capitalism Against Climate: How Free Trade Agreements Undermine Climate Actions”

with Naomi Klein.

 

Friday, December 11th:  Collective General Assembly

From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.:

This General Assembly will focus on on three topics:

-           The result of the negotiations and the exit perspective on COP 21

-           The December 12 mobilizations

-           The results and their consequences: what perspectives for further meetings, actions, initiatives…
